What does this course look like?

The course is organized into three major sections:
  1. What is culture and why does it matter?
  2. ARC Method (Align, Reinforce, Cascade)
  3. Tips & Tricks

Each section also includes an entire lesson on "IRL" (in real life) examples of how the information in that section can be applied in the real world. We've tried to give examples from loads of areas of life (from companies and non-profits to schools and athletics).

Each lesson is designed to be skimmable and viewed on your phone (although it's probably better on your computer). Each page has:
  • Some text. Usually it's shorter, but longer pages have bolded bits as well!
  • Pictures and diagrams
  • Video walk throughs (in case you prefer to listen to the material)
  • Many have "Real-World Examples" where we'll follow three different types of organizations
  • "Too long; didn't read" (Tl;dr) Top Tips at the bottom

Real-World Examples

Not sure how to apply a lesson to the real world in your organization?
We've come up with examples from athletics teams, companies, and the non-profit sector to help guide you.
Picture
Sierra Soccer Team
A high school varsity soccer team. Made it quite far in the state tournament last year, but graduated many of their star players. Not seen as a contender for the state championships this year...
Dunder Mifflin Paper Company
Blunder Mifflin Company
A regional paper company in a declining industry saddled by a bloated office staff. Struggling with profitability and customer service, possibly stemming from morale among the workforce.

Sharpe First Aid Squad
A volunteer first aid squad in Sharpe, New Jersey. Struggling with petty, interpersonal politics and with attracting volunteers, much of the call volume is covered by the same 10-12 people (in a town of 10,000).

Tl;dr Top Tips:

  • We try to add these Top Tips at the bottom as much as possible, and we've also compiled them all at the end of the course too!
